Music has been part of my world for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by art and music, thanks to my mom, an incredible artist, composer, and musician. Some of my earliest memories are of sitting on the couch, completely mesmerized as I watched her fingers move across the piano keys.

She taught me piano when I was twelve, but somewhere along the way, I discovered I was much more interested in writing songs than practicing scales.

Inspired by storytellers like Rob Thomas, Pink, and Jewel, I picked up a worn out classical guitar, paired a few simple chords with my poetry, and started turning my stories into songs. That journey led to my debut album, Train Ride, the EP Little Box of Secrets, and singles including Savannah, Stay, Bulletproof Queen, and Momma Said.

My songs have taken me through love, loss, heartbreak, strength, family, and everything in between. Stay is one of my most personal songs, written from the heart about losing my dad and wishing for just a little more time with him. Bulletproof Queen became a Grammy Considered anthem of empowerment, while Momma Said brought me back to where it all started, celebrating the wisdom and lessons passed down from my mother.

For me, music has never been about simply hearing a song. It’s about feeling the story behind it.

I’m the author of the completed Miami Music Mystery series, The Last Note, In the Key of Dead, and The Hidden Track, where I combine my love of music with cozy mysteries, quirky characters, clever twists, and a little humor.

With The Ghost of Me, my first psychological thriller, I take a darker turn into fractured memories, buried secrets, and the unsettling question: What if you can’t trust your own mind?

When I’m not plotting fictional murders, I’m an active member of Sisters in Crime, the Florida Writers Association, and the South Florida Women’s National Book Association.

Whether cozy or dark, one thing is certain: someone always has a secret.
